These look very tempting! 😋Is one to one flour a special blend from a particular brand or something that can be blended at home? I'm in the UK and I haven't seen anything called that in the shops here I don't think 🤔
Great question! Gluten-free one to one flour is any flour blend formulated to replace all purpose wheat flour of the same amount without adding more ingredients. The two brands I listed are American but you have many in the UK - Freee and Dove’s Farm are two that I’ve used. When shopping the blends usually contain xanthan gum or guar gum and sometimes on the package say something about replacing all purpose wheat flour in recipes. (There are some other brands of gluten free “all purpose” flours that are NOT formulated to replace wheat flour of the same amount and require the addition of other ingredients or different amounts, that’s why I use the one to one term!)
Ahh! Thanks for clarifying that. We love Dove's range of GF and are exploring that. So here we distinguish between "plain" and "self-raising" flour. So I guess a recipe saying one to one flour be the equivalent of our GF plain flour then?
Did you have these in your lunchbox? What other lunchbox treats would you like an amped up gf version of? I keep pining for a Star Crunch!
I tried them my self, They are out of this world
The thumb nail was right they are out of this galaxy
As a fudgy brownie fan, I thank you for this recipe!
Team fudgy all the way!
