Great info Rachel. Our family is heading to Barcelona in October. Hoping that GF is easy to get there as well. I will be saving this post for the next time we go to Spain, and definitely heading south.
Barcelona is a gf dream!! I studied gluten free baking there last fall - there are 20+ gluten free bakeries in Barcelona alone!! So many great restaurants too! You’ll LOVE it!
I need to write a full post you aren’t the first to ask!! Don’t miss the bakery Jansana, My F*cking Restaurant (the name I know!) is wonderful, I loved En Ville and The Fish and Chips shop. Hilary Davidson from the Gluten Free Guidebook substack has 3 wonderful guides to gf Barcelona! Also the Catalunya celiac association has a map of accredited spots https://www.celiacscatalunya.org and my favorite translation card comes in Catalan! https://legalnomads.gumroad.com/l/GFSpain

That would be a blast!! If you do - I would not miss Granada, or Ronda, and kayaking in the sea in Nerja was a dream!
