Hello friends,
WHY is it that I can find gluten free hamburger buns galore, some amazing, some terrible, some that disintegrate when you whisper “burger” over the top of them - but gluten free hot dog buns remain unicorns arriving only when the grocery spirits are in a good mood and only with a $12 for 4 bun price tag???
I know some of you will disagree with me, but the most loathed of these is the Udi brand hot dog bun. Somehow, much more bun than any dog (or lobster roll) could handle and nothing that the pros winning the mustard belt over at Nathan’s would be able to choke down in their epic eating contests.
As we enter grilling season, why should we be relegated to bunless parties? Let’s get our buns on friends! Let’s make great hot dog buns that embrace the sausage of your choice and bend instead of snap!
