Hello friends,
Thank you so much to all of my new full subscribers! As promised a donation is headed towards the food pantry. I decided to include renewing subscriptions as well…I’m looking at you Gluten Free VIPs. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. ❤️
One of the best things about being a kid at Thanksgiving (or Christmas, or whatever big feast holiday you can think of) is completely ignoring ALL of the real food.
It’s true- don’t you remember being a kid and bypassing Aunt Sophie’s famous whatever and the elaborate side dish cousin Linda slaved over and just ate the rolls instead?
Don’t fill up on rolls!
But that’s good holiday fun. Eating only rolls and running off to tumble around with a bunch of sugared up cousins while the adults pretend not to notice and take the opportunity to actually talk to each other.
Well friends, I’m not saying you HAVE to do that with these rolls, but if you want to I won’t tell!
These are fluffy, puffy gorgeous dinner rolls. Just like I remember.
A little sweet, as a good European my husband would consider them almost dessert.
I’ve baked them in a muffin tin as I have nostalgia for my mother’s rolls baked the same way. I love the slightly crisper edge the muffin tin gives you. But you can bake these in a 9inch round cake pan, or use 3 balls instead of one to give you cloverleaf rolls.
Be sure to brush the top with the honey butter, it makes all the difference.
Happy Baking,
Rachel
P.S. Need some pie to go with those rolls?
